“Preserving and interpreting railroad history for over thirty years.”

Railroading Heritage of Midwest America (RRHMA) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote public understanding of the history of railroading in the Midwest. RRHMA accomplishes this goal by preserving, restoring, operating and interpreting historic locomotives and rail cars. We were founded in 1991, and since then we’ve become a leader in the world of historic rail preservation through various restoration and excursion efforts.

RRHMA owns a fleet of historic railroad passenger cars, built between 1945 and 1964, upgraded with the latest mechanical appliances and modern amenities that you would find in today’s luxury hotels. We operate a number of rail excursions and charters every year, handling all the logistics. We also offer these services to other passenger car owners- with RRHMA running your trips, all you have to do is enjoy the adventure.
